Did anyone else hear about this? According to TARC’s website TARC is getting 28 diesel busses with “the latest air quality and fuel conserving technology,” 11 hybrid-electric busses, and we’re also getting 5 all-electric busses that look cool and produce zero emissions.

The sad part is that they’ll be replacing the trolleys downtown, so we’ll lose that “old city” feel and put on a “progressive city” outfit. I still think it’s a good idea though.

We should be seeing these busses by the spring of 2013.
